Lunch at BaliThai Restaurant in Singapore

 

I was browsing through Groupon Singapore one day and found this fantastic SGD15 for a SGD30 food voucher at a restaurant called BaliThai in Singapore. I’ve never been to the restaurant before but I know mommy loves Thai food so I bought two of such voucher coz I plan to treat a cousin of mine as well.

I went to two locations, one at Tampines Mall (with my cousin) and the other at Katong 112 (with my mom). I have to say I love the ambiance at Katong 112 much better. The restaurant was cozier, seats were more spacious and the service staff was definitely more attentive. There was never a moment when our glasses were empty!

All of us enjoyed the food very much. When mommy saw the Garoupa with Mango Salad, she found it a bit strange that the fish didn’t get come with any sauce. However after tasting the mango salad with the fish, she was very pleased.. lol! Anyway, here’s what we had. All in all, I had to pay an extra of about SGD20 for each occasion, a very worth purchase indeed. Mom is so pleased that she is planning our next meal for my next trip!

The selling point for us here was the Mango Salad. It was fantastic with the fish

Malay Wedding Dishes

On my last trip back to Singapore in 2012, it wasn’t just to visit my mom or go to Universal Studio, it was also to attend my niece’s wedding. I always try to work around my trips whenever there is a relative’s wedding so that I can totally optimize my time when I do back back. This time around it was no different and although my coach ticket cost more for both trips (although there wasn’t anything special like Airhawk Seat or anything) due to the school holiday and the year end festivities, it was well worth the cost.

Anyway, I had fun at the wedding. Not only did I meet up with long lost relatives that I had not met in ages, I also get to eat wedding food. My cousin went all out for his only daughter’s wedding and although my plate here looks really meager with Nasi Minyak, Beef Rendang, Sweet Sour First and Fried Beehoon, I actually had rounds of food after this. I also had “Rojak”, Salad and on top of the dessert shown here, I also had “Bubur Hitam”! Oh my goodness! Good thing I was walking around a bit from table to table to meet up with my relatives otherwise I would have been too stuffed to walk to the bus stop afterwards.. lol!

Anyway.. enjoy the pictures.. Wished I had remember to take lots more picture but hey it was all about the company too right?!

Dinner at Armada Hotel PJ

On 20.12.20 I accompanied my sister-in-law to a seminar at the Armada Hotel, PJ. Basically the seminar was an introduction to internet business and I tag along to see what useful information we could get from the seminar. As I expected, most of the information there was things that I already knew about. Things like SEO, Adwords, Website buiding (duh).. etc etc.. Although it was, as I said, information that I already knew, it was kind of nice to know that I was on the right track :). Hurray for me!

Anyway, we had a light dinner at the coffee house before the seminar. Both of us had Cappuccino to make sure we stay awake that 2.5hrs (in case it was boring) and we shared a plate of “Nasi Goreng Kampung” (Fried Rice). It was quite nice actually. It had two sticks for satay (one for each of us), squid, crackers and egg. Enjoy the view :)
